Showcasing
" Lyracis"

Lyracis

LYRACIS

2004 PROFILE:

Lyracis has been performing for just over 2 years and is still at the tender age of 21 but has already taken the London showcase circuit by storm.

His most memorable performances were in front of thousands of urban music lovers at the siemens ‘Urban Music Seminar’ in the Royal Festival Hall, Black Hair & Beauty Exhibition 2003 & 2004 at Alexandra Palace, 2000 people at the Respect Festival 2002 in Victoria Park in London where he performed in front of the mayor of London amongst others and shared the stage with acts such as Fallacy, Blak Twang and De La Soul. After an exceptional performance he was invited to perform at the Respect Festival in Manchester.
In addition to this, Lyracis was invited to perform as part of a group and was selected to showcase his talent at the ‘In The City’ 2002 on the Black Music Unsigned showcase in Manchester.

More recently he performed at the Choice FM Under 18’s event (Cassidy headlined this show) and stole the show as 100’s of teenage girls grappled for his attention….

He has since been hard at work developing his solo material, writing new lyrics and recording in the studio.

Lyracis started off in the entertainment business as a dancer and uses this element to maximise his entertainment value when performing live. His performance is energetic and charismatic, as his personality shines through.

At present he is unsigned but has had a lot of interest shown. His signature tune ‘Fake’ has an infectious chorus and the verses are filled with intelligent lyrics, word play and witty observations and will have you ultimately singing along.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

There is not a specific age range as his subject matter is very accessible. (However 11- 30 years old is considered his target audience average).

He does not glorify violence or negative subject matter.

GENRE:

It is very difficult to classify Lyracis, as he uses an eclectic mix of styles; R’n’B and Hip-Hop being the most dominant. He has gained respect underground although he is not deemed hardcore. His lyrical style has been compared to the ‘cream of the crop’ in the Hip-Hop scene. The production is commercial and accessible and of the highest quality.
