Well known from their many TV and stage appearances and with huge street cred, Eddie and Robbie have an instant rapport with an audience.

This, combined with their tremendous humour and ability to ad-lib, has seen their popularity grow, and grow.

Gulp Fiction was a show in which they played all seven characters.
It was so successful that it completed two sell out runs of 21 shows per run, at the Theatre Royal Stratford, East London and, with Arts Council funding, performed to capacity houses around the country:

A Wha Me a Go Win, the monthly game show they presented for over a 3 years period, later toured the UK.

Zim Zimma, Come Sing for Yu Dinna!, their weekly karaoke evening, presented the public with a regular karaoke/comedy show, which played to capacity crowds:

Lennox Lewis CBE, has appeared on stage with them, having attended many shows. He is a fan!

Following an all-too-brief sell-out run of The Nutty Professionals in 2003, Britain’s best comedy duo, Eddie Nestor and Robbie Gee, returned to Theatre Royal Stratford East with a new and improved version: The Oddest Couple.

The Oddest Couple tells the tale of Nora and Iggy Norant, a suburban couple in a stale marriage. Nora seeks life, love and laughter - which the audience will no doubt provide! Along the way she meets firm favourites from Eddie and Robbie’s previous sketches: the Butu Boys, the Ragga Girls and the grumpy old men Cornelius and Alphonse. With all the characters, male and female young and old, played by Eddie and Robbie, The Oddest Couple is fast-paced comedy at its best.

Eddie Nestor is a recognisable face from TV (he played Nurse Cyril James in Casualty), but it’s probably his deliberately provocative tones on the daily BBC London Drivetime show which are most familiar to listeners…

Robbie Gee is also well-known from past work including Guy Ritchie’s Snatch, Desmond’s (he played Lee, the Peckham Prince), all five series of BBC2’s The Real McCoy and, most recently, as Roly Crouch in BBC1’s The Crouches.

The Oddest Couple will be directed by Karena Johnson (Jerwood Young Directors Award-winner 2003) and designed by Libby Watson (Urban Afro Saxons, Funny Black Women on the Edge).

Robbie, Eddie and Helen have worked together in schools and on stage, educating people about the risks associated with unprotected sex and on developing safer relationships, for many years.

Helen has been a regular guest on Eddie’s phone in radio shows for many years.

SEXplained… Ltd has provided books and condoms for our game and stage shows, as well as providing a ‘wandering condom’ to raise public awareness of our joint endeavors promoting the safer sex message, at our shows in Hackney and other London venues.
