Why is SEXplained…® Parent-ED necessary?

1. This is a rapidly changing field of medicine and most parents/adults weren't taught contraception or sexual health at school although they are increasingly expected to inform their children.
2. Not all parents/adults feel comfortable discussing this subject, in order to answer many of the questions young people ask today.
3. More and varied people are expected to divulge information about contraception, sexual and reproductive health during the course of their work. Many are very uncomfortable with this role.
4. We aim to make this difficult task a little easier.

Who should attend?

1. SEXplained…® Parent-ED helps parents/adults have a greater understanding of the concept behind SEXplained... TeenTALK sessions and shares one combined session with them.
2. It will update their knowledge around this ever changing field of medicine and share with them the importance of why we say, what we say, beyond the superficial fact that underage sex is illegal.
3. This will also help them to help their sons/daughters, nephews/nieces or their charges, be safER in the 21st century.
4. Your local PTA may like to organise a session for parents or you may like to ask or your child's school to arrange a SEXplained... Parent-ED session.
